Heart disease is a serious health threat to women in America. Women can take control of their heart health through education and a healthier lifestyle. That's why Baptist Health is presenting our Annual Women’s Heart Connection (formerly Sister to Sister Heart Health Fair), a FREE screening and health fair to empower women with information. This event is open to the public.
Just last year in Jacksonville, Women’s Heart Connection provided heart disease screenings for more than 700 women at our free Woman’s Heart Health Fair. More than 1,000 women attended the fair to learn about reducing their risk of heart disease through healthy living.
Women right here in our community can learn how to stay healthy for their families, their employers, their friends and themselves. The FREE Heart-Health Screening includes:
- Blood pressure
- Waist circumference
- Body mass index
- Glucose screening
- Triglycerides
- LDL and HDL Cholesterol testing
These screenings in a physician’s office would cost more than $200!
The Women's Heart Connection event will also offer bone density tests, cooking demonstrations, free massages, food samples and many local exhibitors.
